Before we begin the treatment, Dr. Krever will meet with you for an assessment. This might happen the day of, or before if you booked just a consultation only appointment. We listen to our patients to discover their unique aesthetic goals and needs. Once we determine what your overall goal is, Dr. Krever can create a customized plan that will include: the area(s) being treated, how many CoolSculpting treatments will be needed, what to expect during the process, and what is the best aftercare program to follow to ensure the best results. 

The team at Source Medical Aesthetics may take measurements of the area(s) to be treated, as well as photos. This will help us track your improvement over your course of treatments and after.

During this time Dr. Krever is available to answer any questions you might have about the treatment. Empowering our patients with knowledge and setting realistic expectations makes for the best experience and outcomes.

You’re ready to start!

Dr. Krever will place the CoolSculpting applicator on the area(s) of your body being treated for the session. This applicator will firmly grip and as treatment begins, you’ll feel a light vacuum pressure and an intense cold. After approximately 10 minutes or so, the area being treated will become temporarily numb.

At the end of the treatment, we will remove the applicator and for the next two minutes the treated area will be massaged. This helps break up the fat cells that have been targeted during your CoolSculpting procedure.

The treatment time itself can vary between 35 - 75 minutes per cycle. Because Source Medical has CoolSculpting Elite®, we are able to target two areas at once, making for a more efficient session of fat freezing body improvements. 

Since the treatment is non-invasive, there is no downtime. Many people will resume their normal day immediately after. Because the applicator has been on for a length of time, you will likely notice swelling, bruising, or redness around the area- this is normal and any mild discomfort will clear up quickly. 

Your body will naturally eliminate the treated fat cells overtime. For most patients, it can take 1-3 months to see results, with full results taking 6 months or more.

It is very important to remember that CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure, so it is important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine.
