As our Medical Assistant you will play a critical role providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical side of our Medical Aesthetics office. You will directly assist our busy medical clinicians while being a calm and friendly face to help guide patients through their encounter. You'll be joining an amazing, cohesive staff of professionals who work together to provide exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Greet, room and interview patients and prepare them for their scheduled service.
• Document basic medical history in the electronic medical record
• Prepare exam rooms and procedure trays for treatments and ensure treatment areas are stocked with necessary supplies
• Record details of treatments and procedures in patients' medical record
• Assist during medical procedures
• Educate patients on post care and follow up by phone as needed
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of treatment rooms, medical equipment and instruments
• Organize and manage the medical supplies inventory

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant (dermatology, plastic surgery and/or aesthetics a plus)
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Solid interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn and confidently use patient management software
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and proper handling of medications
• Reliability, resourcefulness, and the ability to plan and organize are essential
• Phlebotomy skills a plus

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• medical assisting: 1 year (Required)
• Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)

Our office requires universal mask wear for anyone entering the building. High level hospital grade air filtration is employed in all treatment rooms and patient flow is managed to minimize crowding. All employees must show proof of vaccination.
